Chocolate mousse cake
With MEGGLE Creme Decor
Ingredients
80 g | High-quality dark chocolate |
50 g | Butter |
2 | Whole eggs |
2 TBSP | Cane sugar |
70 g | Plain flour |
| Salt |
1 TSP | Baking powder |
| Marmelade to spread on the cake |
Corpus (20 cm cake tin)
200 ml | MEGGLE Creme Decor |
100 g | High-quality dark chocolate |
3 | Egg yolks |
TBSP | Cane sugar |
Chocolate mousse

Preparation
Step 1
- Melt chocolate and butter over a water bath.
- Beat the eggs with the sugar and add the chocolate mixture.
- Gradually add flour mixed with baking powder and a pinch of salt.
Step 2
- Pour the mixture into a 20 cm cake tin lined with baking paper and spread evenly with a spoon.
- Bake for 20 min. at 180°C. Make sure the cake is not too dry. Leave to cool.
- Spread the marmelade generously onto the cake and add berries.
Step 3
- To make the chocolate mousse, melt the chocolate over a water bath.
- In another bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar over a pan of hot water for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Whisk the melted chocolate into the mixture and allow to cool slightly. Make sure the mixture does not harden.
Step 4
- Whip MEGGLE Creme Decor and stir carefully into the chocolate mixture.
- Pour onto the cake. Garnish with berries if desired.
- Refrigerate and sprinkle with icing sugar before serving (optional).
